Autunno.

Il verde a cui in questa lunga estate ci eravamo abituati ad avere intorno, mentre con le nostre fedeli bici scendevamo i vari tracciati dei maggiori resort italiani e non ormai è solo un ricordo, ma questo non vuol dire che l'attività del Team si sia fermata, in questi ultimi weekend i ragazzi del team si sono dati da fare, oltre che in attività promozionali collaterali, a rispolverare i tracciati di allenamento presenti nelle nostre valli ed a scoprirne di nuovi, su cui, grazie al mitico furgone, è possibile girare fino a che la neve non ci "obbligherà" a tirare fuori tavole e sci!!!!!

In questo periodo i boschi, con i loro giochi di colori accesi, sono meravigliosi, e forse anche più che in estate! Per chiunque sia interessato a venire a girare con i ragazzi del team, e passare una giornata di riding immerso nella natura ed in compagnia di ragazzi mossi da una stessa passione è sufficiente contattarci per chiederci la disponibilità di posti per il weekend interessato...ovviamente i posti non sono illimitati e quindi chi prima si prenota meglio alloggia.

MdeBikes 2010

Tutti coloro che sono intervenuti al September Fest hanno avuto modo di toccare con mano i due nuovi gioiellini di casa Mde, esposti in anteprima mondiale durante la manifestazione. Per chi invece non ha vuto questo privilegio andiamo a darvi una rapida anteprima.

Stiamo parlando del Carver e del Cudgel versione 2010!

La Carver è il telaio da mountain-trail con sistema I-link, biella superiore in magnesio(optionale), perni alleggeriti, nuove tubazioni e nuovo carro posteriore.
Questa nuova versione avrà 135mm di escursione e potrà vantare un peso reale di 2.65kg in taglia M annodizzata.

La Cudgel è il nuovo telaio da Xc/marathon con sistema I-link, anch'essa con biella superiore in magnesio, perni alleggeriti e carro alleggerito rispeto al Carver. per poter arrivare ad un peso reale di 2.50kg in taglia M annodizzata avendo un escursione alla ruota di 100mm.


Entrambe accolgono il portaborraccia in posizione classica sul tubo obliquo.

September Fest 2009

Eccoci giunti al classico appuntamento di Settembre a Sauze d'Oulx, esattamente una settimana dopo la conclusione della maggiore fiera a livello Europeo, Eurobike, in cui le aziende hanno presentato tutte le novità a catalogo per il 2010, sarà possibile, in antemprima nazionale, visionarle e testarle durante la manifestazione che si terrà Sabato 12 e Domenica 13 presso il Piazzale Miramonti di Sauze d'Oulx.

L'appuntamento del September Fest chiude la stagione estiva della mtb e mette ancora per un week end a disposizione i percorsi del comprensorio. A questo appuntamento ovviamente MdeBikes non poteva mancare che, oltre all'esposizione della sua nuova gamma, metterà a disposizione alcune Test Bike da poter provare lungo i tracciati Freeride seguiti e consigliati dai membri del Factory Team.

Inutile dire che vi aspettiamo numerosi!!!

Un estate in sella!

Purtroppo il momento di tornare al lavoro come ogni anno arriva puntuale, e già dopo la prima giornata fa dimenticare il relax delle vacanze...

Ciò che non si dimenticheranno sono le giornate di riding trascorse dal Team in giro per i vari resort. Quest'estate è stata molto intensa e ricca anche di eventi extrasportivi che hanno impegnato il team ma nonostante ciò l'attività di riding e test programmata è stata portata avanti senza intoppi. I luoghi visitati sono molti e ci è stato impossibile darvi resoconti dettagliati ma ora faremo una rapida carrellata delle maggiori novità trovate.

Partendo dal territorio nazionale un posto di rilievo va dato a Sauze d'Oulx, con i suoi percorsi filanti e divertenti, ed ai ragazzi che ci lavoroano per il grande impegno che ci hanno messo, il resort per il secondo anno consecutivo ha ampliato l'offerta di percorsi senza abbandonare i vecchi tracciati che sono stati comunque sistemati ed in parte modificati, unica pecca sono un po' gli orari di apertura degli impianti (10-13 / 14-17) che per gente che ha voglia di girare è un po' limitativo, a nostro parere con un apertura così tardi dovrebbero eliminare la pausa pranzo, oppure anticipare l'apertura, ma purtroppo in questo intervengono anche questioni contrattuali ed economiche...

Prali conferma invece il fatto di avere i tracciati più impegnativi e tecnici di tutto il comprensorio di Alpi Bike Resort, ma considerando l'impronta dei fratelli Bugnone nel tracciare c'era da aspettarselo, indubbiamente per chi vuole allenarsi in ottica DH pura è il posto più indicato. Anche Bardonecchia ha migliorato i suoi percorsi (il Team ha girato solo sul versante jaffreaux), lavorando molto di più il terreno e creando sponde e panettoni ovunque. Quest'ultimi ottima soluzione per creare salti fattibili da chiunque in quanto non impongono la chiusura ad ogni costo, anche se di alcuni andrebbero un po' riviste le rampe e soprattutto chiusi i buchi presenti subito prima.

Uscendo dai nostri confini si arriva a Monginevro, stazione Partner MdeBikes in cui come già descritto ad inizio stagione, alcune novità sui tracciati ci sono state ma siamo convinti che le potenzialità siano molto superiori. Una grande sorpresa è stato Serre Chevalier, una località che ha sempre permesso le risalite in bici per l'utilizzo dei suoi sentieri ma sempre in stile naturalistico e freeride. L'anno scorso poi è stata sede di una tappa di Coppa Di Francia e quindi aveva ampliato la sua offerta di percorsi con una Pista che si merita l "P" maiuscola. Quest'anno poi la grande sorpresa di arrivare in punta agli impianti e vedere partire a 2 metri dall'arrivo della cabinovia un lungo serpentone di sponde che scendeva fin giu a valle...a forza di scendere si perde l'orientamento ma la goduria è talmente alta da non permetterti di fermarti.

I resort di riferimento vicino alle nostre zone, comunque rimangono Les 2 Alpes e Les gets! Il primo ha migliorato notevolmente i suoi percorsi lavorandoli maggiormente, aumentando il numero di sponde e salti ed incrementendo anche il numero di percorsi e le strutture del Bike Park. I lavori maggiori probabilmente sono stati fatti però dal resort di Les Gets, che a partire dalla stagione passata ha deciso di sfruttare sempre maggiormente il versante di Chevanne (che è poi collegato a Morzine), creando quindi nuove piste di differenti livelli, nuove zone north shore, e nuovi tracciati freeride in quei boschetti di radici e fango che chiunque abbia visto non può togliersi dalla mente.

Questa è stata la nostra estate in sella, durante la quale abbiamo cercato mi mettere in crisi i mteriali forniti in test in modo da poter fornire sempre relazioni accurate e dettate da un utilizzo intensivo su tracciati e fondi differenti. Sabato a Salice...chi c'è?

Dopo un lungo Weekend a pedalare in salita bisogna recuperare un po' di dislivello negativo e quindi il Team ha deciso di passare una giornata di discesa a Sauze d'Oulx.

Per tutti coloro che vogliono passare una giornata di riding, avendo anche la possiblità di ricevere consigli di guida, e su come sfruttare le linee migliori sulle piste, l'appuntamento è per questo Sabato alla partenza degli impianti di Sportinia.

Per chi avesse bisogno anche di un passaggio fin su, il furgone ha ancora posti liberi e quindi basta che vi prenotiate.

Vi aspettiamo numerosi e vogliosi di fare tante discese!!!

50 Km di divertimento...

Voglio cominciare dicendo che non è assolutamente vero che dopo ogni salita c’è una discesa, specie se a organizzare il giro, è Federico (Biora). Questo week end, in occasione del suo addio al celibato ha organizzato una due giorni di mtb in giro per le Alpi con nottata e cena in rifugio.
Come gran parte delle uscite organizzate dal Team, tutto è partito dall’immancabile colazione al bar Elisé di Avigliana, dove sono state caricate tutte le bici sul furgone e si sono organizzate le auto per raggiungere Busson (1418 mt), da dove avremo cominciato il giro pedalato. Come giusto che sia si parte direttamente in salita in direzione Lago Perso, che però non raggiungeremo mai poiché devieremo poco prima per Sagna Longa (1995 mt). Dopo una breve siamo ripartiti e passando per Rocca Clarì (2000 mt) e poi per Mt Fort du Boeul (2100 mt) siamo finalmente scesi a Monginevro (1856 mt), dove, essendo partner Mdebikes alcuni hanno scroccato un passaggio in seggiovia per tagliare i primi 400 di salita che ci avrebbero portato al Fort du Gondrand (2459 mt), dove due pazzi non contenti della salita già fatta hanno deciso di fare una puntatina in cima allo Janus (2543 mt) mentre il resto del gruppo sempre più sgranato raggiungeva Sommet des Anges (2449 mt). A questo punto i primi segnali di ammutinamento si facevano sentire ma…dato il luogo in cui ci si trovava, non vi erano molte altre possibilità al di fuori del proseguire!
Ripartiti, ci attendeva un lungo traverso con tratti in discesa e altri in salita che attraversando parecchi laghi (Lac de Sarailles 2236mt, Lac Noir 2226mt, Lac du Rouseau 2230mt, Lac Gignoux 2329mt), ci ha portato a raggiungere l’ennesima cima da valicare, Col Saurel (2450 mt), prima di poter finalmente scendere verso Capanna Mautino (2110 mt), senza più dover dare nessun colpo di pedale.
Giunti finalmente a Capanna Mautino, dopo un primo brindisi a base di Birra per festeggiare il fatto di essere sopravvissuti al giro ci siamo lavati e preparati per la cena, dove sarebbero partiti altri milioni di brindisi. Tra tutti i ragazzi che hanno preso parte alla giornata non ci si conosceva totalmente, ma come spesso succede, dopo una giornata trascorsa in sella faticando, e con qualche bicchiere di vino si trova subito il feeling giusto per divertirsi e quindi la cena è trascorsa tra ottime portate, tante caraffe di vino e l’ottimo umore dei conviviali. Per ovvie ragioni il racconto avrà un buco temporale, che va dal secondo brindisi a cena, fino al risveglio del mattino seguente…per chi era presente, sono certo che non scorderà mai la serata in questione, e per chi invece non c’era…sappiate solo che ci siamo divertiti!!!
Un mistero rimane comunque il motivo per cui, nonostante la serata/nottata allegra, alle 7 del mattino (e forse anche prima) eravamo già quasi tutti svegli…o comunque in piedi, qualcuno ancora con i postumi della serata, tipo Federico, che tra le altre cose, dopo la colazione si è reso conto che la sua bici non era più montata, ma in scatola di montaggio…nottetempo qualche simpaticone gli ha smontato interamente la sua amata bici…chissà chi sarà stato?!?!?! Tralasciando anche il tempo impiegato per il rimontaggio, poiché per un produttore di bici potrebbe essere un po’ imbarazzante, per metà mattinata eravamo di nuovo pronti per fare l’ultimo tratto di percorso che ci avrebbe ricondotto alle auto. Fortunatamente ormai ci attendeva più solo discesa (era ora!!!!), e quindi tramite diversi sentieri, presi per evitare la strada carrozzabile, e mille pizzicature, siamo tornati al luogo di partenza, passando nuovamente per la zona di Sagna Longa e per le Cave di Marmo. Nonostante la stanchezza ed il sonno residuo si leggeva chiaramente in faccia di tutti la soddisfazione per i due giorni trascorsi insieme, praticando il nostro sport preferito, in una cornice montana meravigliosa e per festeggiare un amico.Ringraziando e facendo i complimenti a tutti i partecipanti chiedo scusa per eventuali imprecisioni sul percorso e colgo l’occasione per fare un ennesimo brindisi virtuale a Federico.

Apart from the time it takes for a replacement, since a manufacturer of bicycles could be a little 'awkward, half the morning we were again ready to do the last stretch of the route that would have brought the car. Fortunately now we just waited down (it was time !!!!), and then through various paths taken to avoid the road, and thousands pizzicature, we returned to the starting point, going back to the area and Sagna Longa the Cave di Marmo. Despite the fatigue and sleep residue is clearly stated in the face of all the satisfaction for the two days spent together, doing our favorite sport, in a beautiful mountain setting and to celebrate a friend. Salice e la Superenduro

Questo weekend a Sauze d'Oulx si è tenuta la seconda tappa "Pro" del circuito Superenduro, dove i Team sponsorizzati Mde, ed il marchio stesso hanno preso parte ed ovviamente lo stand era presente al centro dell'area espositiva. In concomitanza c'è anche stata l'inaugurazione della nuova stagione estiva e quindi da tale data gli impianti saranno aperti sino a fine Agosto e speriamo anche un po' dopo...

Novità di questa stagione è la riapertura della seggiovia "Roccie Nere" che permette di raggiungere quasi la punta del monte Triplex e da li prendere 2 belle piste che riconducono fino al paese, la prima già utilizzata 2 anni fa non presenta grandi modifiche, ma la seconda è di nuova tracciatura ed è stata utilizzata per la Superenduro, circa 15/20 minuti di discesa prima di raggiungere nuovamente la seggiovia di Sportinia. Le piste basse invece sono rimaste invariate ad esclusione della n° 6 che finalmente non ha più il trasferimento centrale su strada, brutto e pericoloso, ma grazie ad un nuovo tratto ricavato nel bosco è interamente dedicato alle bici regalando alcune belle sponde e curve in contropendenza tra gli alberi oltre a quelle già presenti la passata stagione.

La Superenduro ha dato una cornice divertente ed interessante alla giornata di riding, il piazzale pieno di stand, striscioni e bandiere ovunque, il paese invaso dalle bici...era veramente uno spettacolo!!! Il vero spettacolo però si ha avuto il Sabato sera con il prologo notturno della gara che si snodava nel centro storico del paese, tra vie, scale e giardini, permettendo anche a chi non conosce questo sport di potersi gustare uno spettacolo fuori dal normale, senza doversi arrampicare per i boschi, e come prevedibile il pubblico ha risposto con una grossa affluenza e con un tifo veramente "da stadio" al passaggio dei rider in gara, dal primo all'ultimo!

I complimenti del Team vanno ai ragazzi che seguono i lavori sulle piste, perchè nonostante abbiano avuto il via libera ai lavori molto tardi hanno già fatto molto ed in questa settimana dovevano sistemare ancora alcuni tratti di piste per fornire le piste al 100%.
